I completely understand how you feel. You have been dealing with the law of attraction and personal development for some time now. You keep reading and hearing “mindset is everything” and that you should delete everything negative from your mind.
Well, often it is not that simple. You can’t be full of energy and optimism every day. We have days when we are simply depressed, lacking energy, tired, sad, and in a bad mood. There are days when our negative traits come out, and that’s perfectly fine.
But in this blog post, I want to show you how to raise your vibration when you are feeling depressed – so you can feel less depressed and make the best out of your day and life.

Although I am a psychology student in the fourth year, I am often struggling with my own mental health.

However, I have tested and implemented coping strategies over the years that I hope will also help you to raise your vibration.

How To Raise Your Vibration When You’re Feeling Depressed
– 10 Ways

1. Be Aware Of The Present Moment

Yes, it is easy and comfortable to get lost in a negative spiral.

Suddenly everything seems bad in your life and you spend your time with negative self-talk.

I know it is tempting, but it is exactly the wrong thing.

The first tip on how to raise your vibration when you are feeling depressed is that you have to realize why you feel the way you feel and that it will pass and that you will be perfectly fine.

For example, I suffer from severe PMS symptoms and I know that I am usually in a very depressed mood the days before my period.

Then I try to become aware that I feel the way I feel due to my hormones and that it will go away.

2. Meditate

Meditation has various health benefits for our mental health, as I show in this blog post.

With the help of mediation, you can get your mind to look at things without judging them.

When you feel depressed, sit or lie down for a few minutes and meditate, focus on your breath, and be careful not to judge your thoughts.

You will feel relieved and calmer afterwards.

You can also listen to guided meditations with positive affirmations to raise your vibration and feel energized!

3. Journal

This is one of my favorite tips on how to raise your vibration when you are feeling depressed.

Journaling has been an integral part of my life for years because I strongly believe in its effects.

I practice daily journaling to manifest, but also on days when I don’t feel well.

When we write, we deal with the things that concern us deep inside.

With fears and desires, with our own experiences. It has a positive effect on long-term physical illnesses and has the power to relieve depressive symptoms.

Pick up a journal and start writing to raise your vibration.

Write about everything that is going through your head at the present moment, about your feelings and worries.

You can express yourself the way you would do it with your best friend.

You will see, after that, you will feel relieved and lighter.

Alternatively, you can write down positive affirmations or a story about your ideal life to motivate yourself.

4. Exercise

There are good reasons why exercising is a kind of therapy for many people.

For me, the daily gym workout is my very own therapy, which I need to release frustration, anxiety, and stress.

There are countless psychological studies that confirm the positive effect of physical activity on our psyche and cognitive functions.

According to studies, desensitization processes can play a role in the well-documented positive effect of physical activity on anxiety disorders and physical exercise can be as effective for depression as medical therapy.

Physical activity also has a positive influence on the hormonal stress regulation systems.

It doesn’t matter what kind of sport you do: dancing, yoga, strength training.

The most important thing is that you find something you want to do a few times a week.

The issue at the moment is that many of us are at home because of the second lockdown.

For me, it is almost a total catastrophe that I can’t go to the gym, my therapy place.

In the first lockdown, I was totally unmotivated to do workouts at home because I was used to going to the gym, but not engaging in any exercise had a negative psychological impact on me.

Now in the second lockdown, I said to myself that I won’t make the mistake a second time.

I searched on Amazon and there are so many different ways to get your workout done at home!

So if I can do it, you can do it, too.

5. Spend Time In Nature

Spending time in nature can help you with grounding and balancing your root chakra.

Take your dog and go to the nearest forest or beach.

Breathe in the fresh air and let the sun’s rays energize your body and your psyche.

6. Use Crystals

Specific gems and crystals have a healing, relaxing and grounding effect and support the mind to work in a constructive way.

You can read my blogpost about the 6 best crystals and gemstones for depression.

However, for beginners, I recommend a set like this one that features the most important healing gemstones and crystals for the chakras!

It also comes with an essential oil diffuser bracelet and dry lavender buds for instant relaxation.

7. Be Careful With Your Diet

How can we feel energized and vibrant when our “fuel” is bad?

I know how tempting it is to reach for chocolate and ice cream especially when you feel depressed.

The problem is: at this very moment you might feel good eating sweets and snacks, but afterwards you will feel even worse because your body is pumped up with sugar.

So make sure you eat a healthy diet and give your body the vitamins it needs so badly!

8. Take A Bath

Baths with Epsom sea salt, magnesium, or essential oils help you to relax your body and your soul.

Your aura and your energy field get cleaned.

In addition, magnesium is beneficial to relieve stress and anxiety.

Tip: You can also imagine that the water is luminous and provides positive energy that surrounds and cleanses you!

9. Be Grateful

No matter how bad you feel right now, every day you have a reason to be grateful for something.

Just at this moment, you can only think of all negative things!

So to raise your vibration you should think of 3 things every day for which you are grateful.

These can be very small things, for example, that a stranger smiled at you.

10. Listen To Music

Listen to music that energizes you and raises your vibration! This can be different for everyone.

I also find spiritual music or binaural beats very helpful to cleanse your energies.

Just go to Youtube and type in “high vibe music” or “healing music”.
