What is a Vision Board and How Does it Help You Manifest Money?
Creating a vision board can help make dreams into achievable goals.
A vision board is a creative collage of images, words, and affirmations that represent your desires, where you see yourself in the future, and the change you want to make in the world.
Making a vision board provides immense motivation and focus to visualize the kind of life you want to live. It’s like having a roadmap that guides you from where you are now to where you want to be.
According to a study, creating a vivid picture of your ideal future can make you happier and even help you achieve better financial health! Over 1000 people were surveyed, and it turns out that those who regularly visualize their goals have higher levels of financial well-being and overall happiness than those who don’t.
There are so many benefits to making a vision board, like boosting your creativity, finding your purpose, reducing stress, getting inspired, and even attracting abundance through uplifting your vibration! Plus, it helps you stay focused on your goals and gives you a greater sense of purpose.
Why I love to use vision boards
I personally use specific words in my vision board not only to effectively manifest money, but also to manifest travels, perfect scores at university, my dream partner, and my ideal job.
Vision boards give me the feeling that anything is possible, and they give me the drive to keep going every day, especially when I am about to lose motivation or faith in myself – which is in no way unusual from time to time.
I can give you an example:
One day, I decided that I really wanted to travel to Dubai. I printed out pictures of beautiful places in Dubai, the hotel where I wanted to stay, and words like ‘world travel’. The next day, my mother called me and asked if we could travel to Dubai together because there was a big world and culture exhibition going on there. We booked flight tickets and the hotel shortly after that.
The funny thing is, despite having traveled very little in the past, my mother was curiously excited about this trip. So it was a pleasant surprise for me to hear this suggestion from her!
Step-by-Step: How to make a vision board
So, creating a vision board can be a powerful tool to help you bring your goals and dreams to life. Use the following step-by-step guide to make one that will inspire and motivate you to reach those big dreams:
You’ll need a large piece of poster board or foam board, scissors, magazines or printouts of images, glue, and markers.
Fortunately, there are a variety of resources available that make it easier for you to create a vision board. On Amazon, you will find suitable >>>Cork Board Bulletin Boards and 800+ Vision Board Pictures and Quotes.
Personally, I like to use Pinterest, gather images and words, and then print them.
TIP for people who don’t want to print anything: You can also create a digital vision board on Pinterest! Create a folder and collect everything there that expresses your dreams and goals!
What are your goals?
Before you start creating your vision board, take some time to reflect on your goals, aspirations, and dreams. Write down your goals in different areas of your life, such as career, relationships, health, personal growth, and finances.
Are you looking to save more money? Invest more? Take your career to the next level? Whatever your goal is, write it down on paper, so you can clearly see what it is you’re trying to achieve.
Having the courage to believe in ourselves and strive for something bigger, something beyond our current reality is an essential part of life. Allow yourself to dream big. Give yourself permission to reach for anything and everything; no vision is too big!
Money-Words and Images for your vision board
Flip through magazines or search online for images that represent your goals. Cut out the images and arrange them on your board. You can also add words, affirmations, or quotes that resonate with you.
Remember that you should not use words or phrases with negative connotations! I once read in another blog article that the word “debt-free” is a good word for a vision board to manifest money.
You don’t want to see the word debt on your vision board every day, do you? We want to get rid of the “debts”, and not attract them into our lives!
Rather than using words or phrases with negative connotations, use their positive counterparts. In this case something like “Growing Bank Account”.
Be Specific About what you really desire
When selecting images and words, try to be as specific as possible. For example, instead of having a general image of a house, find an image of the type of house you want, or include the address or location.
Is it a specific job you want? Include the job advertisement.
Add your own creativity: Use your markers and other art supplies to add your own touch to the vision board. You can decorate it with patterns, designs, or anything that makes you happy and feel good.
find The Right Spot
Place it somewhere you’ll see it often: Hang your vision board in a place where you’ll see it frequently, such as your bedroom, office, or living room.
Believe and take action
Believe in your vision and use manifestation practices like scripting, visualization, mindfulness, and gratitude to activate your vision and your vision board. When opportunities arise, take action and run towards your goals with faith and determination. Trust that the Universe will bring you what you need.
Review and change Goals and desires
As you progress towards your vision, revise your vision board to reflect your evolving desires and aspirations. Update the pictures, affirmations, and mantras to stay aligned with your heart’s desires.
Review your vision board regularly and make changes as needed. Your goals and aspirations may evolve over time, and your vision board should reflect that.
Remember, your vision board is a personal creation, and there’s no right or wrong way to make one. The most important thing is that it resonates with your dreams and brings you inspiration and motivation.
