9 Exercises For Developing Clairvoyance
Now that you can tell whether or not you are a clairvoyant, let’s turn our attention to some exercises that you can do to enhance this ability of yours. If you are not naturally a clairvoyant, fret not. You can still make use of these exercises to develop clairvoyance over time.
BUT: don’t force anything! It doesn’t help to force visual images. This will only cause you to see the darkness behind your eyelids. Instead, use these exercises to slowly and steadily strengthen your clairvoyance.
1) Close Your Eyes And Become Aware Of Your Third Eye
As a first exercise to develop clairvoyance, I want you to close your eyes. You will notice that your visual awareness automatically shifts upward to the point between your eyebrows. This point is also called the “Third Eye”.
Open and close your eyes a few times to consciously notice this transition.
In many religions this area gets also bejeweled or anointed.
2) Decode Your Dreams
The second exercise to train clairvoyance is about decoding your dreams. This way you can understand what the symbols and images are supposed to tell you because some messages in our dreams are not directly obvious (like colors, scents, and shapes). Follow these steps:
- Recall a dream from the past few days that you are not sure about the meaning of.
- Shift your attention upwards (see the first point) and slowly go through your dream.
- Pay attention to the feelings and intuitive thoughts that come to you. Try to “explore” every aspect of your dream.
- Then write down which meanings you perceived. You will intuitively know which is the right meaning.
You can also apply this process to visions you receive during the day.
Meditation is one of the most effective exercises to develop clairvoyance. It is an ancient spiritual practice that has given powerful abilities to people for thousands of years. In ancient texts, there are mentions of people developing telekinesis, telepathy, divination, remote viewing, and much more through meditation.
If you are starting out as a clairvoyant, you need to calm your mind and body. Once you achieve absolute stillness within you, miracles come forth and you begin to understand and perceive reality differently. In a way, you transcend the limitations that nature has placed on our senses. So, you should dedicate at least 15 minutes every day to meditate sincerely.
4) Clairvoyant Perception To Analyze People And Situations
This is one of the most advanced exercises we do for developing clairvoyance. You can use this method to gain clarity about people, situations, or decisions.
- Sit down, close your eyes and relax.
- Now become aware of the area between your eyes. What images and impressions do you “receive” while focusing on your third eye?
- Start thinking about a specific person or a particular decision you have to make (e.g. should I take this job or that job?).
- Continue to pay attention to the point between your eyebrows while thinking about this person or decision. What images are you “receiving”? What meanings and insights accompany these images?
- Be open to images of all kinds. Images can also be colors, symbols, or memories.
- What are your intuitive impressions telling you about the person or decision in question?
5) Activate Your Seven Chakras
Chakras are energy centers of the body. These are junctions through which spiritual energy flows throughout your physical body. Although there are more than a hundred chakras, there are seven that are of utmost importance. These start from the base of your spine and run along it till the crown of your head.
If you are able to activate these seven chakras, you will transcend physical reality. It is through this transcendence that you will gain the exceptional ability to perceive everything that is. This includes physical reality as well as higher dimensions of existence. Chakras can be activated through yogic practices and meditation. With each chakra, an entirely new dimension of life will be accessible to you and your clairvoyance will gradually develop.
6) Practice Telepathy Using Cards
This is one of the more fun exercises for developing clairvoyance that you can practice with your friend. You can use a deck of playing cards for the same. But before you start practicing it, please know that it is a really difficult technique to master. It might take you months or even years to do. So, delve into it with this understanding.
Getting back to the exercise, what you need to do is, take a random card out from the deck without showing it to your friend. Remember the card that you picked and then close your eyes and visualize it in your mind. Next, try to “transfer” the mental image of this card from your mind to your friend’s mind.
Imagine it leaving your head and entering theirs. After some time, ask your friend what card they think you chose. Once you begin to develop clairvoyance, your friend will increasingly start guessing the right cards.
7) Ask Your Spirit Guides For Assistance
Unbeknownst to most people, there are spirit guides that exist in the spiritual plane. Historically, they have been known by many names – guardian angels, spirits, fairy godmother, guardian spirits, and so on. These spirits generally assist us in our daily life. They help us make the right decisions and move forward in the right direction.
You can also ask for their help to develop clairvoyance. You could do this in your mind or speak out loud. Slowly but surely, they will guide you on ways to connect with them. They might also provide you with visions or vivid dreams to start your training. Keep your eyes and ears open to receive any guidance that they may shower you with.
8) Sharpen Your Visual Attention
This activity will not only provide a workout for your eyes but will also help you develop clairvoyance. Also, this is one of the beginner-level exercises for developing clairvoyance so it will be quite easy for you to do. It will help you sharpen your attention which forms the basis of extra-sensory perception.
What you need to do is, take a small object and keep it a few feet away from you. Then, study it for a few minutes. Take note of every single detail that you can possibly take.
After you’re done, close your eyes and recreate the image of the object in your mind. Make sure you get all the details right. Once you’re done building the image, open your eyes and see how many details you were able to remember. Repeat it if you missed something.
This exercise will help develop the ability to notice everything about a person or an object at a glance. But you will definitely need to practice a lot to get to that level.
9) Practice Seeing Energy Between Your Hands
This is another exercise that’s quite easy to do. It will help you perceive energies surrounding objects, people, animals, and plants.
To start, place both your hands in front of you such that the palms face each other. The distance between the palms should ideally be about 5-6 inches. Simply hold this position and let the energy accumulate naturally between them. This could take a while.
After around 5-10 minutes, you will begin to feel signs of faint energy between your palms. If you don’t feel anything, you can rub your hands together vigorously and then spend another 5 minutes letting them be. Once you start feeling a buzzing sensation, you need to spend the next 10 minutes just looking at the energy that’s accumulated.
You could try focusing or unfocusing your eyes to be able to see something. Initially, you might not see anything at all. But as you practice this exercise over and over again, you will gain the ability to see energy.
